Sureshwar Dam - Veri Talav

Sureshwar Dam, also known as Veri Dam or Veri Talav, is a large water reservoir about 5 km north of Gondal, open at all hours. It fills through the monsoon and overflows, when the sound of falling water and the greenery around it draw photographers, cyclists and morning walkers; bird watchers come here too, and there are fish in the talav that visitors often feed. A playground on the site makes it an easy family outing. Keep a safe distance when the dam is in spate. સુરેશ્વર ડેમ, જે વેરી ડેમ કે વેરી તળાવ તરીકે પણ ઓળખાય છે, ગોંડલથી આશરે ૫ કિ.મી. ઉત્તરે આવેલો મોટો જળાશય છે અને ચોવીસ કલાક ખુલ્લો રહે છે. ચોમાસામાં ડેમ ભરાઈને છલકાય છે, ત્યારે પાણીનો અવાજ અને આસપાસની હરિયાળી ફોટોગ્રાફરો, સાયકલ સવારો અને સવારે ચાલવા આવનારાઓને આકર્ષે છે; પક્ષી નિહાળનારા પણ અહીં આવે છે, અને તળાવમાં માછલીઓને લોકો ખવડાવે છે. અહીં બાળકો માટે રમવાની જગ્યા હોવાથી પરિવાર સાથે ફરવા માટે અનુકૂળ છે. ડેમ છલકાતો હોય ત્યારે સલામત અંતર રાખવું.
